How to build a clock, part 1

clockA classic wall clock is something really special. It is based on the Viennese clock from the year 1830, a work of watchmaking from the time of Emperor Franz Joseph I..

It will undoubtedly be a real revelation. The wall clock designed by us looks exceptionally elegant in its simplicity, wooden housing with balanced proportions. Its greatest decoration is massive oak wood – the prettier, the more carefully the details are made.

The very simple form of the clock also has another advantage – any DIY enthusiast can handle this type of frame structure.

Of course, the clock mechanism itself will not be made at home. You can buy it – even at a flea market or a flea market – or take from another clock. We chose the gorgeous one, although, unfortunately, not a cheap model of the mechanism. However, it can be a cheaper element, as well as a quartz movement with a pendulum. In addition to it, to make the clock you will need material for the housing - massive oak strips and veneered blockboards, and glass and fittings.

A clock for demanding customers – this is also how our proposal could be advertised, intended for self-execution. The charm of this solid oak clock is the result of craftsmanship, with which even the least visible elements were made.

The housing made of massive oak frames looks timeless and does not overwhelm with its weight. Two glass side walls and a door allow you to admire the decorative dial, an expensive adjusting mechanism and polished weights and a pendulum.
