Greenery on the terrace

Greenery on the terrace

The terrace is the place to be, in which we spend our free time, we rest and welcome guests. Therefore, it is worth making sure that we feel at ease and pleasant in such a place. When arranging a terrace, you first need to think what size will be appropriate for you, and then choose materials and vegetation that suit our preferences.

We present a proposal for the arrangement of the terrace, for people who like natural, slightly raw materials. The discussed terrace was made of natural stone on a quarter-circle plan. Its design includes a shelf, which will serve as a flowerbed. On the terrace, instead of a railing, large wooden pots were placed.

Undemanding ones were selected for planting the pots and the flowerbed, which do not require too much care and are drought tolerant. Conifers dominate - Arnold columnar junipers, Creeping juniper varieties Nana Dispatch and Creeping Juniper Willtoni, which are to hang through the walls of the terrace and the Blue star dwarf scale juniper. The composition was supplemented with several Thunberg barberries, including the dwarf varieties Admiration and Special gold and the column Orange rocket.

A terrace arranged in this way will be a perfect match for gardens that are easy to maintain, mainly composed of conifers, as well as for moorland-like assumptions, rock and gravel gardens.
