How to arrange a garden – some practical tips
Garden equipment so that it is beautiful, functional, but at the same time easy to maintain is a difficult task. At the very beginning, we should think about why we need a garden at all? The question seems simple, but the answer is no longer so. The garden basically performs several functions. First of all, it is a place where we spend our free time, in which we rest, we grill, we play sports, in which our children play. Secondly, the garden is a showcase of the house, its complement, which in a way determines the character and prestige of its owner. Thirdly, the garden is the place where we work, we grow vegetables, we store wood for the fireplace, etc.. So it turns out, that the garden meets a lot, often different functions, which must be reconciled somehow. That is why before we start arranging the space around our house, it is worth thinking about how to do it., so as not to make mistakes. Here are some tips, which are worth considering.
- Parts of the garden should be divided in terms of function, which will meet – it is better to separate the representative part of the garden from the one in which we will rest and from the economic part. This will ensure order, harmonious appearance and functionality of the garden.
- Let's place the representative part on the front of the building. It will be a place, in which we will plant the most beautiful plants testifying to the family that lives in this house. The main task of this part of the garden is the decorative function, and its character depends on the appearance of the building and the taste of household members.
- The part intended for relaxation is best located at the back of the building in the immediate vicinity of the terrace. If we value intimacy, it is worth surrounding this part of the garden with a hedge, or compositions from plants. In this part it is worth locating a large, flat lawn surface, which will be able to serve as a running ground for children. At one of the boundaries of the plot it is worth placing a gazebo, garden grill, benches and a table or swing – it will be a place, in which we rest, or we welcome guests. Distance from the terrace to the gazebo, shouldn't the grill be too big. In order to facilitate communication, you can mark out a garden path to this place. On the opposite side of the lawn you can place a children's playground with a sandbox, ladders, slide, etc.. This place should be on a flat surface , partially shaded and clearly visible from the windows of the house. In the seating area of the garden it is worth planting a variety of, colorful plants. The nature of the composition can be free, conducive to relaxation and relaxation.
- The economic part is best located at the back of the garden and separated from the rest of the property with a hedge, composition of plants, or another element, e.g.. trellis for creepers. In this part of the garden you can locate the woodshed, tool crib, greengrocer, tool cleaner, dog pen and composter. Care should be taken to ensure that access to the economic part is easy, for this purpose, it is worth bringing a path to it, or access road.
- When planning a garden, remember to bring water and electricity to places where they will be needed in the future. Water will certainly be needed at the gazebo and in the economic part. Electricity, on the other hand, should be distributed throughout the garden to the lantern, Lamps, arbors and tool sheds.
