Before starting to dig up the trees, the leaves should be removed. This is most often done manually. Be careful when washing leaves, so as not to break off the buds and young twigs. After washing, it is recommended to spray the trees with Topsin M in a concentration prophylactically 0,1%.
Trees are dug up manually or with special tractor plows. In large nurseries, trees are excavated almost exclusively with the use of plows. Workers take the trees under cut from the soil. Depending on the work organization, the trees are sorted after being pulled out, and then tied in bunches after 10 pieces and lays them in the furrows previously plowed with a tractor plow. The bundles of trees arranged in this way are covered with a tractor plow. Temporarily pitted trees remain in the nursery until they are picked up by buyers. In nurseries with large halls, related trees are often brought there and arranged horizontally into separate varietal blocks. The root system of the trees, until their collection, is then maintained in conditions of high humidity by frequent sprinkling with water.
Bundles of trees intended for the establishment of large orchards should be marked with two labels. However, individual trees should be labeled in bundles for retail sale.
