Velvet, Creeping mower

Velvet – Agrostis thin (A. vulgaris). A very important species. It is a low-maintenance grass, forming a dense turf. Completely frost-resistant. It tolerates the shadows. The disadvantage of this species is its rather slow development in the first year. Selected varieties are characterized by shorter shoots and more vivid green color.

Mietlica rozłogowa — Agrostis stolonifera. This grass forms numerous above-ground stolons, not too tightly connected with the soil. When properly cared for, it creates a beautiful turf. Requires moist soils. It is a long-lived species, successfully used to strengthen slopes. This grass can be vegetatively propagated by cutting the turf into small pieces.
