We describe how to set up lightweight plasterboard structures based on metal frames. Corner, in which there are clothes hanging open by anything, it creates an impression of general chaos in the entire room. Thanks to a separate corner for quiet reading and a cup of hot tea, we can fully relax and cut off a bit from the world of everyday troubles. One of the household members wants to surf the Internet, and the other would rather read quietly during this time. Both of them will be pleased when we separate them with a light, thick wall 10 cm, muffling most of the noise.
This partition wall is a lightweight building structure. It consists of a frame made of metal profiles and covered with plasterboards on both sides. Admittedly, making the frame from wooden roof battens is cheaper, but it costs more work. When using metal profiles, erect a T-shaped wall, that is, the one we write about here, takes less than a day and a half.
Speaking of costs, let's answer a constantly recurring question, bothering most DIY enthusiasts: is it profitable to do something on your own, what can be outsourced to professionals? If anyone can use a spirit level and a screwdriver, erecting the wall should not be a problem for him, and the material needed to position the wall with an area 14 m2 costs much less (you can estimate, that three times) than the mere labor of a hired specialist. This bill is enough, so that everything becomes clear: it pays off to do it yourself! In addition, there is also the satisfaction with a hand-made work that cannot be counted into money.
