Propagation of perennial plants

plant reproductionThe easiest way to reproduce perennial plants is to divide old specimens. Large clumps are divided by hand or with a spatula, avoiding hurting plants. Each part should have at least one well-developed bud, which will give rise to a new plant. Carpet plants: stonecrop, and also yarrow, the switch and the cinquefoil can be chopped into cubes with a shovel. Plants that creep along the ground take root quickly, if it is sprinkled and partially covered with a mixture of peat and sand. The rooted parts are cut off and planted in a permanent place. This is how the guinea pigs can breed, goose down, keratosis, floks szydlasty, thyme. By runners, that is, creeping shoots, at the ends of which young plants are formed, they reproduce: Monarda, rdest, bugle, spinal cord. On the other hand, bulbous plants develop adventitious bulbs, which is separated in summer and stored in a dry place until autumn, and only then blown up.
