The easiest way to reproduce perennial plants is to divide old specimens. Large clumps are divided by hand or with a spatula, avoiding hurting plants. Each part should have at least one well-developed bud, which will give rise to a new plant. Carpet plants: stonecrop, and also yarrow, the switch and the cinquefoil can be chopped into cubes with a shovel. Plants that creep along the ground take root quickly, if it is sprinkled and partially covered with a mixture of peat and sand. The rooted parts are cut off and planted in a permanent place. By runners, that is, creeping shoots, at the ends of which young plants are formed, they reproduce: Monarda, rdest, bugle, spinal cord. On the other hand, bulbous plants develop adventitious bulbs, which is separated in summer and stored in a dry place until autumn, and only then blown up.
