CARPET BACK
The comfort of any rug largely depends on its back. We can choose between a foam plastic back, a textile spine made of natural fibers and a textile spine made of synthetic fibers. The greatest comfort is guaranteed by the foam back, however it can happen, that the plastic used for its production gives off formaldehyde.
For some time now, foams have been used less and less in the production of carpets, which of course strengthens the position of the textile spines. Admittedly, they do not give a feeling of absolute comfort, but they are more durable, they can be torn off the ground without damage and are beyond suspicion, when it comes to the emission of harmful substances. Currently almost 80% carpets have fleece backs.
Velor floor coverings have a top layer made of cut loops. A variety with a long fleece (from 9 mm upwards) his name is Saxony.
Carpet coverings intended to be installed in corridors must be durable and should not absorb dirt easily.
Loop materials, loop, unlike velor, they have closed loops of yarn or fiber in the outer layer.
Much depends on the ridge
The latex foam back ensures high comfort of use, however, it is used less and less. The textile jute back should be stretched or glued. The same goes for synthetic ridges.

These symbols indicate the suitability of the floor covering: in rooms with furniture on castors, on the stairs, on heated floors, in rooms requiring antistatic materials.
UPPER SURFACES
Due to the type of surface, carpet fabrics are divided into velor and looped fabrics. The loops are cut open during the production of velor, on the other hand, in the case of a boucle, the loops remain closed, which gives the impression of a more dense surface. Boucle is much more abrasion resistant compared to a single velor yarn. There are variations in both cases, for example, curled velor – the yarn of which is especially tightly twisted- or cut boucle (Cut-Loop), i.e. a mixture of cut and closed loops. Long pile velor carpets are referred to as Sa-xony or Shag, being Shag – with your yarn, whose length exceeds 40 millimeters - is very rarely produced today.
Because carpets for allergy sufferers must not contain certain substances, many manufacturers subject their products to specific tests, np. on the content of insecticides, which are included in some substances to fight moles. After research, products are properly labeled. However, they retain their properties only then, when dispersion glue is used when laying them.
DESIGN
Determination of the carpet weaving pattern obtained by hand dyeing (mixing) be printing methods. For carpets, a so-called report is also used, that is, the smallest repeatable surface with a full pattern. The layout of the reports should be taken into account when measuring and arranging.
TEXTILE COVER
Specification of the wear layer of a carpet or carpet flooring (formerly called a rune).
ELASTIC FOAM
Latex layer reinforced with the compression method, characterized by a lower thickness and a waffle-like structure.
WEIGHT LIMIT
Expressed in terms of "low” to "the highest."” . The factors are determined by tests determining the degree of changes in the thickness of the fiber pile under pressure and the intensity of wear of the top layer..
