secondary value mushroom. It has a hat with a diameter of 3…10 cm, ocher or olive, dry, mat, suede, sometimes a bit cracked on the surface. Long tubes, even to 2 cm, light yellow in young specimens, only darkening later, to light green. Long pores, irregular, the color of the tubes. They do not turn blue when touched. Bright core, yellowish cream, usually there are brown grains on the surface, forming a mesh, with very elongated eyes. Whitish flesh, in places with a yellow tinge. Mild flavor, smell nice. Spore discharge rotten brown.

It occurs in deciduous forests, conifers and mixed. Pretty common. Harvested in summer and autumn. Similar to p.z.. are: golden bay bolete, which has a red-tinted hat and pores that turn bluish when touched, and a parasitic boletus, parasitizing on stubble.
