lingonberry – Red bilberry, knock
dwarf shrub up to 30 cm. Rigid leaves, elliptical, they do not fall off before winter. It blooms in July. Small flowers, in the shape of bells, white-pink. Fruit – red or pink berries growing several together – not very juicy, bitter-sour, it meets from July to October. B.b. grows in not very dense forests, and also in thickets and moors. The richest cowberry berries – in Lower Silesia, in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains and in the forests of the south-eastern and northern part of the country.
