secondary value mushroom. It has a hat with a diameter of up to 15 cm, orange-yellow or yellow-brown. The seasons, already in the initial stage of the development of the fruiting body, greyish. Relatively narrow stem (thinnest under the hat) and long, even to 22 cm, whitish or gray, covered with very fine, in their youth with sooty black scales, which may be brownish in older specimens. Tubes up to 3 cm, from pale gray to olive gray. Minor pores, roundish, gray or brown-gray. White flesh, pink-purple when cut, at the base of the hat also bluish green. The taste is weak, enjoyable, no smell. Brownish spore discharge.

It grows in all types of forests, most often in birch groves, in the immediate vicinity of trees.

Quite common in Poland. It is harvested in summer and autumn, from July to October. So far in Poland, it has been rarely distinguished from the red goat.
